Beach Ball Cake Pops!

Standard

I was inspired by my recent trip to Emerald Isle, NC.  These beach cake pops are filled with a strawberry cake mixed with a vanilla frosting then dipped in vanilla. Then I painted strips of vanilla candy coating and rolled them in blue, red and yellow.  They taste delicious and take my mind off how much I miss the beach!

Cake Pops + Summer Heat = No Problem!!

Standard

Cake Pops + Summer Heat = No Problem! A lot of customers ask how cake pops do in the heat. Cake pops are sturdy and only require room temperature or a nice cool room.  You can put them in a cooler and take them anywhere! They are individually wrapped and stay fresh for up to 2 weeks. But we’ve never seen them last for 2 weeks because they are so delicious!

Wait a minute…we might have a tie with the Chocolate Cake Pops!

Standard

Folks, let me tell you what I made today.

I made a butter fudge cake, mixed it with milk chocolate frosting, rolled the cake balls and dipped the cake pops in peanut butter coating.  I topped the cake pops with just a few chocolate sprinkles.

You would just have to taste it to believe it!   These cake pops are so decadent and delicious, I had to put them in a wine glass to photograph them.  A moment of silence to let the peanut butter and chocolate melt in your mouth.

If these don’t sell for Father’s Day, I give up…  maggiescakepops.com

Patriotic Cake Pops!!

Standard

It seems everyone is putting out their red, white and blue in time for Memorial Day.  On Memorial Day, we celebrate the fallen soldiers of the Civil War.

I was thrilled to find red, white and blue sprinkles and stars in the stores already!  This picture was from an order I did for a bridge club that had a Memorial Day/red, white and blue theme.  After posting it on facebook, I got a a request for any order celebrating a little boy’s birthday, which happens to fall on Memorial Day.  I have the most fun making these cake pops and it’s good practice for the 4th of July!

One Cool Chick!

Standard

Chick Cake PopWhen I first made these yellow chick cake pops, I knew I was hooked on making cake pops!  They are so cute and they sold like crazy at Easter.  But then a funny thing happened…women started asking for them for Girl’s Night Outs and birthdays.  I attach a card that says, “To One Cool Chick”.  And they taste awesome!  This one is made with a classic white cake, mixed with vanilla frosting and the yellow coating is white chocolate.  The sprinkles that make up the nose and arms are chocolate.  Finish it off with two orange sugar sprinkles for feet and you’re all done!  I’m thinking of pitching them to Living Social or Groupon next spring!  You can always special order them any time of the year at maggiescakepops.com!

Chocolate Cake Pops are the best!

Standard

I actually prefer vanilla cake pops!  But when I make devil’s food cake and mix it with a milk chocolate icing, dip it in a milk chocolate coating and drizzle it with white chocolate, people go crazy!  I’m going to start branching out and make different kinds of chocolate cake mixed with different icings and dipped in various coatings.  This week, I’m making a butter fudge cake with milk chocolate icing and dipping it in peanut butter coating!  I’m going for the Reese’s Cup cake pop!  I’ll let you know how it goes.  If it’s good, it might show up on the menu at maggiescakepops.comImage
